There are a few components that could be the reason your vehicle is shuddering, and the potential damage can fluctuate greatly. If you got new wheels and tires recently, your car shuddering could be caused by the tires not getting balanced correctly. Balancing the tires makes sure the weight of the tires and wheels are evenly distributed for the smoothest ride possible. So, if you feel the tire shuddering while you are driving, it may be a tire that isn’t balanced properly. If the tires are properly balanced, but the car is still shaking, ensure the tires are inflated to the proper air pressure, and check to make sure the lugnuts are fully tightened and make sure the tire pressure is correct. If your tires are the cause of the shudder, you should have it looked at immediately.
